This is real Kinoko no yama_これがほんとのきのこの山

ある日思った。
「きのこの山」の”山”の部分はどこにあるのだろうか。

One day I wondered about its name “Kinoko no yama”.

日本が誇るチョコレート菓子、きのこの山。

This chocolate snack named “Kinoko no yama” it means mushroom mountain in Japanese.
This is one of the most popular and recognized chocolate snack in Japan.

チョコレートとクッキーのハーモニーについつい手が止まらない。

It consist of two parts, a chocolate mushroom cap and a stem made with crisp biscuit.
Taste pretty good! You will be surprised of how their taste harmonize inside your mouth.

本当の「きのこの山」を完成させるには、山を作るしかないのではないかと、

“Kinoko” means mushroom and “Yama” means mountain but in these food there are only mushrooms and No mountains.
So I strongly thought I should bake a mountain for this snack just as the name says.

「きのこの山」を愛する友人のバースデーに、完璧な「きのこの山」を作った。

Therefor I made a perfect birthday cake “Kinoko no yama” for my friend who loves Kinoko no yama too.

ポイントはスポンジケーキの上にふりかける抹茶パウダーとココアパウダー。
苔むす山の地肌の質感が表現できる。
彩りに乏しかったので、デコレーションペンを使って少しアレンジを加える。

The cooking tips is sprinkling over Maccha powder and Cocoa powder on a sponge cake. They make the sponge cake look real mountain texture.And as it was sober color, I decorated a mushroom with red chocolate.
